Weekend Fun | Cozy Boho

Martin Sexton - A Capella Performance of Gypsy Woman

Some comfy cozy boho picks for you on this lovely Friday -- along with a video that can make me smile for hours. I think it's fair to say that I'm obsessed with Martin Sexton and this version of his song Gypsy Woman only deepens the obsession. Hope it makes you smile too!

Happy weekend dudes!

Ash & Anchor Melodies: The Breeze

It has surely been a while since I've posted a melodies mix, so here's a nice breezy summery one. The title, "The Breeze" comes from the last track (of the same name) by Dr. Dog.  I suggest taking a dance break once you get to "Orange Shirt" by Discovery!

Enjoy...

This is just too sweet not to share. Aren't they adorable? And the song is "play on repeat" worthy! You can visit their website for more info and musica: The Civil Wars

Poster Child: Bon Iver

Bon Iver "The Wolves (Act I & II)"

I love Bon Iver so much. His music sounds like what it is to be human; the perfect blend of beauty and pain. The posters that designers have made for his shows are pretty right on as well, dontcha think?

Look and Listen

In the middle of a crazy busy week, it's good to sit back, relax for a few, look at the clouds, and listen to some ambient, ethereal goodness.

Ash & Anchor Melodies: I Hear You Drowning But I'm Tied

This mix is super moody and atmospheric, and thanks to Poe in track #4, includes some interesting (creepy?) noises. The mix title "I Hear You Drowning But I'm Tied" is from the song of the same name by a band called Letting Up Despite Great Faults.

Celia Crampton & Madeleine Peyroux

Celia Crampton's Botanical illustrations are so fresh and elegant. The above watercolor is called "Chaenomeles, Blossom and Fruit."

Madeleine Peyroux "I'm All Right"

"I'm All Right" by Madeleine Peyroux is definitely worth a listen (and then another and another!) Some happy jazziness for your Wednesday for sure! (I love the little laugh she does at the end of the song)

Have a great day! See you back here tomorrow :)

Poster Child: Iron & Wine

For me, live music is one of the best things in the world. And awesomely enough, live music and concert posters go hand in hand! Tonight I'm heading to an Iron & Wine show-- so a collection of Iron & Wine posters seemed fitting! I found them all on Gig Posters (where you can get lost for hours in music + design goodness.)

In the mood for a really good listen? The Iron & Wine Daytrotter session is dreamy. Run, skip, go!
