Spring 2012 Brings Organic Cotton Scarves

I know I've been hinting at new things to come, but finally-- now I can share! Next week begins the pre-sale of our 100% organic cotton scarves. I had such a blast designing the prints for these bad boys and I couldn't be happier with how they turned out. And I must say, the organic cotton knit is so soft that I've been wearing mine non-stop.

The pre-sale begins in the shop on February 24th and shipment should begin March 9th.

I'll be back to remind you next week! xoxo

Thankful

Well hello there! It has been a little while... Hope this post finds you well! I'm slowly getting myself into the new color palette of the season... fading out the oranges and yellows and welcoming greens and reds-- into Ash & Anchor and into my home. These changes seem to happen so quickly-- I'm attempting to take it slow and enjoy every minute.

How do you slow down? I'd love to hear!

November Already?

Hi friends. I honestly can't believe it's November already. I think I say that every month, but November is an intense one-- starting off the chain of holidays that take us right into January.

Ha, ok let's not go there yet! No time for winter thoughts when I still have these lovely pink flowers in bloom on my window sill. I picked them up at Terrain a few weeks ago-- each flower is so petite-- about the size of a nickel!

Enjoy your day!

It's Here! The 2012 Ash & Anchor Calendar

It's that time of year again-- nearing the end and looking forward to the fresh start that a new year brings. With that-- a new calendar to adorn your walls! This year I'm switching it up a bit and selling prints of the calendar over on Society6. They do a gorgeous job with printing and are pretty much rock stars over there, so the choice was easy!

Happy Wednesday! Click below for the calendar:

(The calendar was designed to be poster sized (medium or large size options) but society6 offers a variety of print sizes)

Weekend Fun | Moving Day

We just moved from Baltimore to Philadelphia and after all of the moves we've done in the past, this time I felt like we were more on top of the game.  I wanted to highlight some stand-out gems that made everything a bit easier and less stressful:
  • Water -- drink it even if you aren't feeling that thirsty, your body will thank you!
  • Packing Tape -- buy what you think you'll need, then at least double that! You'd be surprised how many things need a good tape-in'
  • Snacks -- granola bars are awesome for quick protein fixes!
  • Coffee -- if you're a drinker, you know the deal. Have it ready always!
  • Comedy -- Pandora just added comedy and it's the best thing, ever. Click on "Today's Comedy Radio" and laugh your face off while you pack
  • Vino -- at the end of the day, a nice glass of this and a lovely night sleep are in order!
Do you have any moving tips to share? Or advice on getting settled into a new place? I'd love to hear! I'll be back here next week with lots of new goodies. Join me, wont ya?

Behind The Scenes: The Crafty Hostess Printables

A while back, I designed the logo and blog header for the lovely ladies over at The Crafty Hostess. They recently contacted me again, this time to design and illustrate a line of printable stationery: flat and folded note cards, gift tags, and favor tags. It was such an exciting and fun project to work on! I wanted to share some examples below:

I love projects like this where I can work with a variety of color palettes and design styles.

Visit The Crafty Hostess on Etsy to grab some printables-- they really come in handy for so many different occasions! Also visit The Crafty Hostess on Facebook to share the love!

Here's a new illustration that I just finished, "Oh My Honey." Oh Mr. Bear, you're such a sweetie.

I'll be back soon with this week's "Weekend Fun." Til then... xo

On The Road Again

We've been doing a lot of weekend driving lately and I must say, with views like these, I don't mind it one bit.
