Celia Crampton & Madeleine Peyroux

Celia Crampton's Botanical illustrations are so fresh and elegant. The above watercolor is called "Chaenomeles, Blossom and Fruit."

Madeleine Peyroux "I'm All Right"

"I'm All Right" by Madeleine Peyroux is definitely worth a listen (and then another and another!) Some happy jazziness for your Wednesday for sure! (I love the little laugh she does at the end of the song)

Have a great day! See you back here tomorrow :)

I think you know I'm a super fan of blood and guts by now right? But man, how intense is this diptych by Chris Lane? I can only assume bloody hands have never looked this beautiful!

Poster Child: Iron & Wine

For me, live music is one of the best things in the world. And awesomely enough, live music and concert posters go hand in hand! Tonight I'm heading to an Iron & Wine show-- so a collection of Iron & Wine posters seemed fitting! I found them all on Gig Posters (where you can get lost for hours in music + design goodness.)

In the mood for a really good listen? The Iron & Wine Daytrotter session is dreamy. Run, skip, go!

Bottle Service

I'm on the hunt for a new spring scent. Upon searching, I came across massive amounts of ever-inspiring bottles and colors-- all too beautiful to not sort by color and share! I can't vouch for the scents of each of them, but man they're gorgeous!

What's your favorite perfume (scent or bottle!)?
Mine is Ralph Lauren Cool... mmm...

Weekend Fun | I Came to Get Down

Oh heck yes, it's Friday again! Here's a collection for your weekend-- fully equipped with House of Pain "Jump Around" lyrics. Once I saw that Hollie Chastain's print was called "I Came to Get Down" the song was immediately stuck in my head-- perfect for weekend festivities.

Bookin' It | Jitterbug Perfume

I just finished reading Jitterbug Perfume by Tom Robbins and I cant stop singing its praises. This was my first Tom Robbins book and now I honestly want to go read them all. He is a master.

The back cover reads:

Jitterbug Perfume is an epic.

Which is to say, it begins in the forests of ancient Bohemia and doesn’t conclude until nine o’clock tonight (Paris time).

It is a saga, as well. A saga must have a hero, and the hero of this one is a janitor with a missing bottle.

The bottle is blue, very, very old, and embossed with the image of a goat-horned god.

If the liquid in the bottle actually is the secret essence of the universe, as some folks seem to think, it had better be discovered soon because it is leaking and there is only a drop or two left.

Have you read Jitterbug Perfume or any other Robbins? I'd love to hear your thoughts! If not, oh my-- I highly recommend!

Hand Hooks

I'm absolutely loving these hand hooks from designer Harry Allen on Areaware. They are actually cast from his hand! I think it would be a cool place to keep keys.

How creepy would it be to have a hand coming out of your wall though?!

Find them herehere, and here

Color Theory | Fruit Inspired

I took these photos of yummy fruits a while back, but today seemed like the right day to share them. Its supposed to be quite warm here today-- which always makes me think of citrus-y goodness.

Here's to a happy Monday-- hope your week is off to a great start :)
